Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Istanbul’un on üçüncü sezonu, 19-22 Mart 2019 tarihleri arasında Zorlu Performans Sanatları Merkezi'nde gerçekleşecek. 24 yılı aşkın süredir dünya çapında 60'tan fazla moda platformunun destekçisi konumunda bulunan Mercedes-Benz, isim sponsorluğunu üstlendiği tüm moda haftalarında olduğu gibi İstanbul’da da ilk sezonundan itibaren desteklemek üzere seçtiği bir tasarımcının koleksiyonunu kendi ismiyle sunuyor.
Bu doğrultuda 6 senedir kesintisiz devam eden bu projenin yeni sezonunda Mercedes-Benz Türk, Türk modasının uluslararası ölçekte başarı gösteren isimlerinden, tecrübeli tasarımcı ve Moda Tasarımcıları Derneği Eş Başkanı Özgür Masur'un Sonbahar/Kış 2019 koleksiyonunu "Mercedes-Benz presents Özgür Masur" ismiyle sunacak.
21 Mart Perşembe günü saat 19:30’da Zorlu Performans Sanatları Merkezi’nde gerçekleşecek “Mercedes-Benz presents Özgür Masur” sunumu ile ilgili tasarımcı Özgür Masur “Mercedes-Benz'in Türk moda dünyasına vermiş olduğu destek çok kıymetli. 13 sezondur desteklediği moda haftası birçok tasarımcının moda dünyasında sesini duyurması için benzersiz bir platform sağlıyor. Sonbahar/Kış 2019 koleksiyonumu onların desteğiyle sunacağım için çok mutluyum. Ülkemizin yetiştirdiği tasarımcılar, onlara destek olan markaların gücüyle global platformlarda varlığını sağlamlaştıracak." sözleriyle Mercedes-Benz Türk'ün desteğinin kendileri için önemini vurguladı.

Özgür Masur, Sonbahar/Kış 2019 koleksiyonunda ilhamını 80'li yılların ışıltılı dünyasından alıyor, Studio 54 yıllarının görkemli gecelerinden arta kalan ikonik fotoğrafları Akdeniz Rivierası'nın hafifliğine ve neşesine doğru hayali bir yolculuğa çıkarıyor. Lüksü özümsemiş siluetlerin ön plana çıktığı koleksiyonda, 80'lerin ışıltılısı kadınların özgün ve eğlenceli ruhuyla buluşuyor. Kadına övgü niteliğinde koleksiyonda gümüş renkler, parıltılı kumaşlar, puantiyeli ipek tüller couture algısını hazır giyim pratikliğiyle buluşturuyor.
2008 yılında ilk koleksiyonunu Galatamoda'da sunan Özgür Masur, aynı sene kendi markasını kurdu. Modern dikiş teknikleriyle yeni biçimlerin peşinden giden Masur, tasarımlarında zamansız, sofistike ve kadınsı siluetlere hayat veriyor. Lüks moda anlayışını benimseyen tasarımcı, markası ile uluslararası ölçekte başarı kazanarak Avrupa, ABD ve Orta Doğu'da satış noktalarını artırdı. Özellikle kırmızı halının vazgeçilmezlerinden olan Özgür Masur; hem couture hem de hazır giyim koleksiyonları ile uluslararası moda platformlarında yer almayı sürdürüyor. Masur, aynı zamanda 2018 yılından beri Türk Moda Tasarımcıları Derneği'nin eş başkanlığını üstleniyor.

The 13th season of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Istanbul will take place on March 19 – 22, 2019 at Zorlu Performance Arts Center. Mercedes-Benz has supported over 60 fashion platforms worldwide for more than 24 years and similar to all the fashion weeks sponsored globally, the brand continues the tradition of presenting the runway show of a designer since the first season of the event in Istanbul.
In the new season of this project, which has continued for over six straight years, Mercedes-Benz Türk will support Özgür Masur, the internationally acclaimed Turkish designer and Co-chair of the Turkish Fashion Designers Association, with the “Mercedes-Benz presents Özgür Masur” runway show of his Fall/Winter 2019 collection.

For his Fall/Winter 2019 collection, Özgür Masur draws inspiration from the glamorous world of the 80s and takes the iconic photographs from the fantastic Studio 54 years on an imaginary journey to the laid-back mood and joy of the Mediterannean Riviera. Silhouettes infused with luxury come to the forefront in the collection where the glitter of the 80s meet the unique and fun spirit of women. A celebration of women, the collection features silver tones, sparkling fabrics, silk tulles with polka dots, all of which create couture looks with the convenience of ready to wear.
Özgür Masur presented his first collection in 2008 during the Galatamoda event and established his namesake brand the same year. Masur pursues innovative forms and applies modern tailoring techniques to his designs that come to life with timeless, sophisticated and feminine silhouettes. The designer has gained international recognition with his luxury approach to fashion with more and more stores in Europe, US and the Middle East selling his designs. A favorite of red carpet events with his custom designs, Özgür Masur also participates in international fashion platforms with his couture and prêt à porter collections. Masur serves as the Co-chair of Turkish Fashion Designers Association since 2018.
